Yes, we’re telling to press the red button for once.<\/em>..<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our chatline is a student-run, online extension of McGill Students\u2019 Nightline. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n Just like our phone lines, our chatlines are a confidential, anonymous, and non-judgmental instant messaging <\/strong>service. Chatters will be connected to one of our volunteers through an anonymous platform. Our volunteers are trained in empathetic active listening, and can provide information, referrals, and non-professional guidance during a crisis.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n Protecting the confidentiality of our callers and chatters is one of our highest priorities<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The only situations in which we cannot maintain confidentiality is if you are in <\/span>immediate danger <\/b>of harming yourself or others, or if you reveal that the abuse of a child likely is or will be taking place. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n In these situations, it is our legal obligation to report the information you share with us to emergency services. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n In all other situations, our callers and chatters\u2019 confidentiality and anonymity will be protected with the utmost care.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n Click here for other phone lines, chat lines and resources.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Fill out a short survey<\/a> to share your thoughts with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We appreciate your feedback!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n
